About Us

The goal of the North Central Regional eTeam is to develop and collaborate partnerships between regional economic development professionals and providers of broadband to maximize the impact of the access where available and to increase capacity where not available. This will be done through the utilization of existing regional assets like healthcare, education, and agriculture business.

A significant need for many small, local providers in the North Central region is access to affordable bandwidth. While the region does have two "urban hubs" Bloomington-Normal and Peoria, a large portion of the region is rural and agriculture-based. The eTeam will also try to maximize the use of recently built infrastructure throughout the region.
