Webinar Topic: Developing Statewide Baseline Data for Research
SPRINGFIELD, Illinois , May 9, 2011 -- The Partnership for a Connected Illinois will host its next Wednesday Webinar on May 18 at 2 p.m. CST. All who are interested in the advancement of broadband in Illinois are invited to participate, ask questions and provide input into PCI’s activities.
The May 18 webinar will focus on PCI’s initiative to conduct research that will be used to develop statewide baseline data on current supply and demand trends for broadband. Presenters will include PCI Executive Director Drew Clark; Mapping & Analysis Director Mike Rudibaugh; and Brian Webster, Data Collection Coordinator.
“Our mission is to ensure that our state leads in the effort to advance broadband deployment and to ensure that this investment has a positive impact on residents in every region of the state,” said Clark. “PCI’s goal with this webinar is to first inform key stakeholders across the State about this developing research, but in addition, obtain feedback that will help PCI develop the appropriate framework to develop the baseline study.”
Clark added that the webinar will be geared toward organizations or individuals interested in learning about the study and who would be interested in assisting PCI with designing the most effective research design to serve the State of Illinois in assessing broadband supply and demand issues across the state.
In addition to the May 18 Webinar, PCI is planning the following as part of its Wednesday Webinar series:
- June 1 – Community Anchor Institutions and Broadband Access
- June 15 – The PCI eTeams and Broadband Research
