Webinar Topic: Community Anchor Institutions and Broadband Access
SPRINGFIELD, Illinois , May 9, 2011 -- The Partnership for a Connected Illinois will host its next Wednesday Webinar on June 1 at 2 p.m. CST., on the subject of "Community Anchor Institution and Broadband Access."
The June 1 webinar will focus on PCI’s community anchor institution dataset. Presenters will include PCI Executive Director Drew Clark; Mapping & Analysis Director Mike Rudibaugh; and Researcher Clayton Black. The webinar will be geared toward organizations or individuals that are interested in assisting PCI with designing the most effective research geared towards collecting community anchor institution level data in the State. It will cover the CAI dataset and how data has been collected. It will display the data alongside provider data to show where community anchor institutions lie in relation to coverage. We will conclude with a discussion on the types of supply and demand questions that should be asked of CAIs as we move forward.
