Ed Simcox
Director - TeleHealth Offer Management, AT&T ForHealth Solutions
Ed joined AT&T in July, 2010 as the director responsible for telehealth strategy, offer, and business development in the newly-formed AT&T ForHealth team. AT&T ForHealth is a portfolio of specialized product and service offers harnessing innovative technology focused in four key areas: mHealth, Telehealth, cloud-based healthcare IT solutions, and ATT’s healthcare information exchange, Healthcare Community Online.
Prior to joining AT&T, Ed held multiple strategic positions at Indiana University Health (formerly, Clarian Health), a large, integrated healthcare provider headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was tasked with assembling and leading the Technology Architecture Committee, a governance committee comprised of clinicians and IT specialists who assessed and approved emerging clinical technologies and standards.
Ed was responsible for the creating Clarian’s first comprehensive IT standards library and implementing enforcement policies. He was the recipient of the 2006 Computerworld Laureate medal and Clarian was awarded Hospitals and Health Networks’ Most Wired Hospital award resulting from Ed’s work with emerging technologies in the hospital and outpatient settings. Before joining Clarian Health, he was the president and CEO of Saurian technologies, an IT and technology law consulting firm with clients in 32 states.
